Delving into the Demons Playlist: An Exploration of Indie Music Curated by Matt Geiser

I'm excited to announce that my song "Tracing Light" has been added to a new Spotify playlist titled "Demons," curated by fellow musician Matt Geiser. As this is only my second playlist inclusion, I thought it would be a fantastic opportunity to dive deeper into the artists featured on the list, starting with its curator.

I reached out to Matt to learn more about the "Demons" playlist, his album "Vinyl Scars," and the artwork accompanying it. Matt explained that he began curating playlists to help fellow indie artists, including himself, gain more exposure in an increasingly crowded music scene. Through his playlist curation, Matt has enjoyed discovering and engaging with a vibrant indie artist community on Twitter, with each playlist he creates fostering its own unique community vibe.

Matt's latest album, "Vinyl Scars," features a Demon character representing the A-side tracks (which are showcased on the "Demons" playlist) and an Angel character for the B-side tracks – hinting at a potential future playlist. The "Demons" playlist features a diverse collection of angst-filled songs from numerous indie artists Matt follows, including two tracks from "Vinyl Scars" – "Confession" and "Burn." The playlist offers a unique opportunity to discover new indie music and support the incredible talent that exists within the independent music community.
